It is Autumn and we have new calves. There is plenty of feed thanks to exceptionally good rain this Summer so we can save the hay for Winter. Our crossbred calves get numbers, but Tom & Nique's stud cattle get names. This year they will all start with G.

English Paper Piecing
On one of our trips to Tasmania we stayed in a hotel in Scamander where the owners had many Vintage and Antique quilts on display. There were fine examples of English Paper Piecing, Feedsack and even an American Civil War Quilt. I have been making this Quilt for quite a long time using the English Paper Piecing method and it is nearly finished. The pink and blue fabrics were already had in my supplies and the red, tan and orange fabrics were from the op shop. They are a bit faded in parts with some fold marks, which hopefully will give the quilt a vintage look. The light fabric is calico. All 1034 pieces have been hand sewn and I am hand quilting it.
