The Dishcloth and Waiting Room Connection
I have been keeping a couple of very special people company lately and a lot of that time has been spent in waiting rooms. So, I have been knitting cotton dishcloths using crochet cotton I have found in op shops for $1 a ball. I cast on 40 stitches using two strands, on size 12 needles and knit until I think the cloth is big enough, usually the span of my hand. Each ball makes two cloths and they are great to use because of the way the garter stitch picks up the crumbs. They machine wash really well.
