We have had a black Andalusian Rooster since 2005 and he has finally fallen off his perch. He had many wives and children over the years and is only survived by "Daughter of Zorro" and she is getting on a bit now. Zorro survived at least three dog attacks, (you know who you are Monty and Buck!) and numerous fox encounters. He was a bit battle scarred and lately he would sit in the sun and fall asleep. I knew he would not live much longer, but it was still upsetting to find him on the floor of the henhouse.
